Since 1928, the First Baptist Church in Nicoma Park, OK has existed to make disciples in the eastern Oklahoma County area. At First Park there is a place for everyone to get connected to the body of Christ and learn to follow him.

The gospel is the good news of how God, in His grace, has stepped into our broken world to rescue and restore. It tells the story of a perfect creation, humanity’s fall into sin, God’s plan to redeem through Jesus Christ, and the promise of a future where all things are made new. At the center is Jesus: His perfect life, sacrificial death, victorious resurrection, and glorious ascension. He offers forgiveness, hope, and eternal life to all who turn to Him in faith.
Christ’s death was both in our place and for our sake. As our substitute, He took the punishment for our sins, fulfilling God’s perfect law on our behalf. Through His sacrifice, He satisfied God’s just anger toward sin and made a way for us to be forgiven and brought back into a right relationship with Him. This act shows both the depth of God’s justice and the greatness of His love.
Jesus, being God in the flesh, is the only one who could bridge the gap between God and us. His resurrection proves His victory over sin and death, and His ascension shows that He reigns as King. He is continually interceding for those who trust in Him.
The cross is the heart of everything we believe and do. Through Jesus, sinners are forgiven, made children of God, and given new life to live for His glory. Everything flows from this good news, and it shapes every part of who we are.

What is the Bible?
We believe the Bible is the inspired, inerrant Word of God, preserved by Him, and is the final authority for faith and life, providing guidance, comfort, and instruction for righteousness.
Who is God?
We believe in one God eternally existing as one essence and three distinct persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit, each of whom is fully God, yet there is one God.
Who is Jesus?
Jesus is the God in the flesh, fully God and fully man, who lived a sinless life, died for our sakes, rose from the dead, ascended to the right hand of the Father, and will return to judge the world.
What does it mean to be Human?
We believe that God created humanity in His image, possessing reason, conscience, moral capacity, dignity and worth.
What is Sin?
We believe that sin is an act of cosmic rebellion against God which all have committed, resulting in humanity’s separation from God, a sinful nature, and the need for salvation through Christ.
How are we Saved?
We believe that salvation is by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone. Anyone who repents and trusts in Him will be saved, united with Him, and grow in grace by the work of the Holy Spirit.
What is the Church?
We believe the Church is the body of Christ, made up of all believers united in Him, expressed locally in congregations that worship, grow in faith, and share the gospel together.
What is the Mission of God?
We believe the mission of God is to reconcile all creation to Himself that we might walk with Him and worship Him. He has called the church to participate by living out and sharing the Gospel.
What are the End Times?
We believe that Jesus Christ will return to judge the living and the dead, bringing everlasting life to those who are His and everlasting death to those who are not.
